I bought a property just over a year ago. The registration was delayed due to the fact that we had to wait for new plans as the owner added some buildings etc. I recently started having plumbing problems in the areas where the additions where made. I had a plumbing company at the house and they could not clear the line. They requested the plans and on the plans shows a manhole in my carport that did not exist. They then started digging where the line shows on the plans but could not find the line. After digging on numerous places they eventually found the line. Most of the plumbing was done incorrectly and against regulations and the issues aew where the additions were made. I now sit with a bill of R 22 000 to fix issues. My other concern is now I sit with incorrect building plans as well. Is this something I can take up with the previous owner?
