Question posted in the Criminal Law category relating to KwaZulu-Natal
Was sentenced by Chatsworth court for Dui on new years day ...which I actually drank night before.My previous offences were 13 years ago.but.not expunge and the magistrate based my sentence on.that because I had 2 DUI offences that time.She said I am.making a mockery of the.law etc.I am.now sentenced licence suspended 5 years and R10 000 fine without an income.Lost my driving job ...Is it fair that those offences be counted as it should've been first offence which is 6 months as the ecpungement was supposed to be done.I.need my licence for a job ..Please help
