Hello

I took my car to Car Time last year Aug as it was smoking and using oil. They told me they would have to strip it to see why. I gave the go ahead at a cost of R3300. They said that the engine would need to be overhauled at a cost of R47 000. It took them 6 weeks to complete the overhaul. On 26 Nov I took it back as it was still smoking and using oil. In Jan it was still not fixed and there was oil going into the pipes to the Turbo unit. In Feb it happened again, more parts were ordered, car sent in for repair again in April - took 4 weeks. I took it back on 15 July as it was still using oil and smoking. They kept it for 2 weeks and said they couldn't find anything wrong. There is still oil going into the breather pipes of the Turbo. The manager there has an answer for everything! Point is that I spent R50300 to have the engine fixed and it still isn't fixed. They do not want to refund me.

What course of action would be best? I do not want to go through RMI ombudsman.

Kind Regards
Perine
