Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Gauteng

Good day,

When we got home last night our electricity was put off apparently because it is already to high...

In 4months our electricity went from R300 up till R1700 and we do not use anything exstra from the first month.

When we phone our landlord she said the municipality came and switched it off. No one gave us any notice and we are fully paid up our next bill for rent we normally gets between 20-25th of each month and then its due 1st of September.

We don't owe a sent and now the electricity is cut off and we did not get notice? How does that work?

Please can someone help me with answers.
