Morning
I bought a Defy Glass top Hob from Macro in Bedworthpark, Vanderbijlpark on the 20th June 2014 and paid per creditcard the amount of R3499.00 It was packed and sealed in its original packaging. I took it home and put the box in my 2nd lounge that I do not use. I could not found a electritian to install the Electric Hob for me at that time. Then I visited my son in Germany for 6weeks and after that I phoned many electritians to come and install the glass hob for me. I found one to do the installation today and when the electrian open up the sealed box and pull the polistrieen packing out the whole hob was cracked. Going back to Macro they wont replace my hob, because according to the Compliant manager they have to sent it in for investigation because the 14day replacement warrantee has expired. My question do I have any foot to stand on for not losing my money? Yes I was at fault by not opening the packing sooner, but nowbody told you about the 14day refund warrantee and nowhere does it stand on my invoice / cashslip. Could you please reply back to me as soon as possible and what my rights are?
