Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to Western Cape

I have been working at a company for 5 year, another big company approached me had 2  interviews etc.. on friday i was send an offer on official letter head that states monies, probation and so forth. After i accepted the only did crim checks, clearance etc... their offer letter did not state that its subjected to clearance and crim check. I accepted their offer and resigned from my current work. On the checks theres a common assault case that was withdrawn and was supposed to be take off but the police didnt send the form in to have that done. And was 9-11 years ago. Now can they withdraw the offer?  My current employer had and busy with interviews to replace me. And will sit without a job if the new company withdraw offer. What can i do?
