Im paying maintence for 2 children my son 16 and my daughter has just turned 18 and as per the child maintenance act I legally dont have to pay money to the mother for my daughter.my problem is that my daughter has been living in another province for the past 2 years not with the mother and I want to pay her directly.the mother has now moved the order to another court where she claimed that both children are in her care and im ordered to pay for both children.Please advise on my rights in this regard and what would be my next step.we were never married so there is no divorce order.
