Hi,
We have an meter account billed by Eskom at home which was opened by my father. He passed on and I asked for it to be changed into my name with the intention of paying monthly installments. The bill was too much and I couldn't pay as I was the only breadwinner at home. I last paid in 27-03-2013. They came to disconnect when the bill was R3132.55 but the bill kept on increasing and now it is R14000+. Could it rise this high in a space of such a short time? What are my options as they've handed the account over to the lawyers and threathning to sell the home?
