I have purchased a vehicle Nissan X-Trail 2015 last year in April and the vehicle was under warranty until this year. And ever since I purchased the vehicle I had a numerous breakdown incidents which led to the vehicle being taken more than 6 times for repairs at Nissan. However the vehicle was returned and the problem reocured again. Now I have taken the vehicle to the dealership because the told me that the vehicle's breakdown is caused by my driving style meaning I'm driving the vehicle on stop n go routes more than on a open routes and the vehicle is manufactured to be drive oftenly on open routes to regenerate it's diesel particulate filter. I argued that prior to the purchase of the vehicle I was never informed of such requirements and neither is it stated in the vehicle manual. I reported the matter to the Ombudsman but the Ombudsman has dismissed my complaint against the dealership where I demanded that the dealership to replace the car or refund me as I strongly believe that I was misinformed by the dealership prior to the sale agreement which led me into an unfair trade. Thredfore I seek further advice on this matter
