Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Western Cape
Good Day
My name is Sumaya Orrie. I am a friend of Masnuna and she gave me your contact details.
I need to know something. I bought a flat at Vangaurd Village and after 2 years the development was completed and I moved in paying occupational rent.
I went to go and sign the bond papers at Christo Marius Attorneys and then it was submitted to the deeds office. Two weeks afterwards the lawyers requested that I send my income and expences and said that the bank declined the bond and that I did not qualify.
I then asked if I could stay on and sort out my finances and they agreed as long as I pay my occupational rent. A week afterwards the developer called me and demand that O give the key back and he wants the flat as he has a buyer.
Please advise. Urgently
