HI MY NAME IS CECIL AND I AM A TENANT.FOUR MONTHS AGO THE GYSER ON THE HOUSE WHICH I AM RENTING STARTED LEAKING ON THE SEEM .I REPORTED IT TO MY LANDLORD HE TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD REPLACE IT.THROUGH IGNORANCE I REPLACED THE GYSER WHICH COST ME ABOUT R4000.LATER I FOUND OUT THAT A GYSER IS STRUCTURAL AND THE LANDLORD WAS TO REPLACE IT.I FURTHER GOT TWO PLUMBERS WHICH ARE CERTIFIED TO INSPECT HIS LEAKING GYSER WHERE THEY BOTH GAVE ME A REPORT STATING THAT HIS GYSER LEAKED BECAUSE OF AGE AND WEAR AND TEAR.I LATER TOLD HIM ABOUT THE INSPECTION THAT WAS DONE AND THE REPORTS GIVEN TO ME BY BOTH PLUMBERS IN WRITING.THE WATER ACCOUNT IS SITTING ABOUT R7000 IN CLUDING THE WATER THAT LEAKED FROM 7AM TO ABOUT 15PM UNTIL MY SON PUT OF THE MAINS WHEN HE GOT BACK FROM SCHOOL BECAUSE THE MAID DID NOT KWOW WHERE THE MAAIN WERE.I TOLD HIM HE SHOULD GIVE BACK THE MONEY THE GYSER AND LABOUR.HE REFUSED SO I TOLD HIM ITS IETHER PAYS ME BACK FOR THE GYSER AND I WILL SETTLE THE ACCOUNT OR I WILL LEAVE THE GYSER THERE AND NOT PAY THE WATER ACCOUNT BECAUSE I HAVE GIVEN HIM NOTICE TO LEAVE HIS HOUSE.HE HAS NOW TOLD ME TO TAKE MY GYSER OFF ,HE DOES NOT WANT AND PAY THE WATER ACCOUNT .I THINK HE IS BEING DIFFICULT AND NOT FAIR.WE HAVE BEEN CARTING WATER IN BUCKETS AND BOILING WATER ON THE STOVE BECAUSE THE WATER HAS BEEN CUT EVERSINCE .PLEASE HELP ME WHAT ADVICE DO U HAVE FOR ME OR AM I WRONG
