Hi,
I live in a complex where the body corporate is imposing me R500 fine plus damage repair fee for a notice board that a visitor of mine hit. The body corporate based the accident on the fact that my visitor was driving too fast, which was not the case as she was actually out of parking when the accident happened. it was a small accident and the notice board bent a little and it was straightened without any issue right after the accident.
They sent us a mail explainging the R500 fine and repair fee, we replied by explaining that there was no wreckless driving, therefore we're not paying the fine and the board is still fine, so we're not paying the repair neither. they then sent a leeter from some attorneys to force us to pay it.
What should we do in this situation?
