Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Gauteng
I am a mother of 3 (aged 5, 7 and 18) who has never been married but I have lived with my children's father for 10 years now. He has been abusive in the past and I no longer wish to live with him. How do I take my children and leave without going against the law? He was arrested in June 2019/8 for domestic violence but was never tried and has paid to have his record cleared. I am worried that he will try to take my two younger children from me. Can he do that and how do I avoid that?
