Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to Free State
Good day
I have recently rented a residential property in odendaalsrus, and I would like to terminate the lease; but according to lease, I cannot leave until they find another tenant in my replacement; what should I do? I tried to ask the landlord/the agent if they can give me a termination fee; they refuse and say I'm liable until the 12 months. The lease is not yet signed yet....I'm talking on basis of verbal contract; still waiting to get the lease from landlord/agent; please advise. It is my February is my month 1 and I want to terminate because I must use a taxi 4 times in a day to and from work, I was under the impression that I will use only 2 taxis. I'm in a new city and I have just realized that.
Regards
