I borrowed my vehicle to a friend and he fell asleep behind the wheel causing an accident. He towed my vehicle to the nearest panel beater but allegedly never left any info for anyone there to contact literally anyone. A few weeks have passed when my fiance enquired about the vehicle seeing if it could be fixed and they said that the chassis bent.
So here's the thing. After a few more weeks passed my father made another enquiry about the vehicle and they stated that in order for is to collect the vehicle we had to pay storage fees @R200 a day. But why only inform us so much later? Now I either give them my car or pay R20 000 and climbing.
Is there any advice?
