Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to North West

Good day, I joined a gym and signed on the 29th on July where they told me August was going to be free, I will only start paying in September. I can’t pay for September and I want to cancel. They did not tell me about cancellation fee, even in the contract it is not stated. I have not attended the gym even once. But they want me to pay R2000 cancellation fee. Will I get blacklisted if I don’t pay the R2000
