Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Gauteng
Good Day, We have a problem with secondhand smoke coming from the garden flat. We moved in on the 1 October 2023, there are three tenants on the property, two in the garden flats and us in the main house. The one garden flat is directly connected to the main house where we live in, the tenants in that house smoke, which causes a lot of secondhand smoke in the main house, everything stinks like smoke. We mentioned it multiple times to our Agent, but still one proper solution has been implemented, I myself tried to block of the vent in the roof and we have baught multiple air purifiers . My wife which is 36 weeks pregnant and my 3 year old daughter are currently both sick, they will be seeing a docter today. What can we do ?
