Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Eastern Cape
Good day
Just want to know what rights do I have as a tenant. I moved in the property first week of July, I still did not receive the agreement is it my responsibility to get the agreement signed or the landlord's.
In the meantime I got a better house so I gave the landlord 6 weeks notice, but they force me to pay till mid Oct because the agreement says 2 month notice but I did not sign or even see the agreement so what stand me to do?
We had a verbal conversation about the notice time, if the agreement is for long term rent (5years) then the notice is 2 months, so I just want to know do I have a leg to stand on
Thank you
