Question posted in the General Law category relating to KwaZulu-Natal
My in-laws both passed away in October 2014. They had a small CC which she was the only member. Due to her failing health she did not file returns with SARS and the CC has been deregistered. The CC's anual turnover is less then R1m. As the daughter-in-law I wish to continue with the CC business. he business account requires to be FICA'd and is now "on hold". What steps do I follow to:
- be compliant with SARS re: outstanding returns
- re-register CC to carry on trading
OR
do I open a new CC, continue trading & then attend to the compliance for the old CC so all is in order with SARS????
Many thanks
