Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to Gauteng
Hi,
A solar contractor that I have worked with for the past few years doing three installations on my property assisted me with removing a faulty device that was under manufacturer warranty and replaced it with the new device the manufacturer swapped the device for.
We did not discuss rates or fees and no quote was provided prior to this work being completed. (Each time in the past I always received a quote upfront for the install and labor was different each time.)
Upon completion the contractor has now sent me an invoice for an amount that I do not agree with. The total invoice is just under R4000, what are my options in this case considering I was not aware of the costs nor did I accept these costs prior to the work being completed and feel this amount does not justify the work completed. I have raised my concerns with the contractor who refuses to revise this invoice.Regards
