Goodday my huband had an insurance policy which was in my name  and he paid the premiums. however. he had an insurance policy which was a short term policy omnisure. He did not tell me about it neither did the insurance broker inform him about this policy when there was an incident with the truck my husband was very ill on dialysis 3 times a week with other health issues during covid which he also was very sick.  He paid the premiums from his bank account. He passed away in June2023.the policy was not cancelled until September 2024.There was time to claim3 yrs expired. Insurance refused to pay.At first I tried to claim from SASTRIA and they uprooted a very big problem they discovered that the truck so called accident was not reported as a fire.Insurance ONE name of the broker from PMB. told me that it was not a riot and strike and we cant claim. One of the managers from SASTRIA upon further investigation he uncovered a policy that was a personal lines policy that I could claim from OMNISURE Old Mutual around September/October.He said that he had spoken to a person called.Tanddeka.couldnt reach this person. eventually Iwas told that the policy is cancelled. Is been prescribed ...The fact is that I only knew about the claim l last year they kept me hanging on ....until recently told me the case is closed. They cant help me.Who is responsible for this action. Can I can i do. Can i still claim.Insurance broker was shouting at me, was extremely rude.I asked him about the misrepresentation of  the truck he asked us to leave. Kind assistance  appreciated. with both matters insurance and truck.  Can I still claim.Prescription period and the law surrounding incident  and insurance policy.
