Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Gauteng
Our son and his wife divorced years ago and the court granted her child support. We lost contact with him some time ago as he cut off communication. Now his ex-wife contacted me to inform me he has left the country to make a new life and informed her that he won't be paying child support anymore. Now she wants to sue me and my husband for the support. We are in our late 50s, my husband is retiring in 2 years, we can't afford to pay child support. Can she legally sue us for it?
