Hi
I am persued by an attorney for 8 year old debt. School funds.
They notified me that there is already a judgement against my name. I assume it's a default judgement because I know nothing about this. The date of the judgement is also about 8 years back.
What are my rights.
Is there any prescription of this debt.
What about the interrest over the 8 years. I didn't even know about this judgement.
During that time, I contacted the school with my financial situation and offered to do a Photography job for the school to sort my debt. The school would on top of my fees, also have made a handsome profit. The headmaster accepted this arrangement, but it was promptly turned down by the financial office.
I couldn't pay at the time, and even today, paying this debt will be a tall order.
Kind regards
Deon
