good day,

I had my kids removed from my care which in my opinion was done in a unfair manner. My husband works and lives in Cape Town while me and the kids are residing in Port Elizabeth. We are busy getting divorced. We had a argument one night over the phone, I was upset and went for a drive. It was late at night and my kids were already sleeping. Becuase we had a argument he phoned the police to come to my house. The next day his lawyers informed him to take the kids out my care but he refused to inform me. On Friday he came to Port Elizabeth to meet with his lawyers making me believe that it was regarding our divorce proceedings. while he was at his lawyer, he phoned me to tell me not to come home with my kids because the state is on their way to come and get my kids and that he was busy to make arrangements for it not to happen. According to him the only way was for him to make an urgent request at court to make him the primary caregiver of the kids. He had to give statemens from himself and our neighbours stating why the kids should be removed from my care. He made me believe that is was only a temporary situation and that we will still have co-guardianship over the kids. We also agreed that it will be in the best interest of the kids to stay with their grandparents until our divorce is finalised.

Because I was told that this was to prevent the kids being placed in the care of the state, I decided to agree to all the statements (which was not all true) made against me, which was obviously a big mistake. The kids was removed from my care on Tuesday when i also realised that I are not entitled to any guardianship over my kids and that I can only have reasonable contact with my kids under supervision.

I really do believe that this is unfair and that I was betrayed. There was never any form of abuse towards my kids. I cared for them every day, feeding, schooling,...etc. They live in a safe home...

They live in Johannesburg now and the fact that I can only see them under supervision is unreasonable to me.

i Have no legal representation and would like to know what I can do to get co-guardianship over my kids
