Hi
I wonder if you can assist me. I purchased a house in a town where there are no bylaws governing commercial signage. A business in the town have a sign directing people to their business on the pavement outside my house. I have spoke to the local municipality to ask if they have a bylaw on this and they advised me that they currently have not bylaws governing this and that they do not get involved. I have contacted the business to request to have the signage removed. They were very friendly, but told me that they have had that sign in front of the house for 30 years, they believe it is their right to have it and will not remove it. I was hoping to understand what rights i have in this regard and how i can legally find a remedy for this.
