My first request was how many sick days ...

Question posted in the General Law category relating to Western Cape

My first request was how many sick days are rewarded over a three year period, that was all answered and I understand the equation. (30 days over 3 years)

My question to you is, is that there is a reset of sick days which takes place (yearly I think) which occurred in my company on 1st of May this year.

I fell ill on the and took off from the 3rd to the 6th, however because it was reset 3 days prior I have no sick days left, even though, (as confirmed) I had accumulative days in the previous cycle. So now what has to happen is, I either go into a deficit sick day cycle (which is not ideal with my son because he can get sick at any time in winter and Ill need to take further days and go into further deficit) or take some sick and some annual leave which I find a bit unfair.

Is there no way that I can use those cumulative days from the previous cycle to apply for the above?
