Good Day
I have a 2 year old daughter in residing with her mother in Garahamstown, and I currently live in Johanessburg. I would like to know how do I go about applying for maintenance and visitation rights from johannesburg as her mother is refusing for me to visit and see her. Because of her refusal to see my daughter, I have stopped the maitenance in December with the intent that it will force her mother to take me to court for maintenance. Unfortunatley her mother has yet to do so and refuses to now even answer my call when trying to contact my daughter. I have not seen her in a year and when I made arrangements to visit in December her mother decided to leave town the day before I was to depart to Grahamstown. I have all the means to support my daughter as my main reason for relocation was to find a job to support my daughter but I as my attempts to be part of my daughters life is being neglected, i am now forced to approach the courts to force my rights as a father. Please advise how I do so and How I can start proceedings as I am residing in a different province as my daughter.
