Good Morning :
I am currently in a divorce battle with my wife. We would like to do an uncontested divorce. We are at lock aheads regarding how to calculate the vehicles value. We are married in community op property.
My first question is what value is used, the retail or trade value?
Question 2. Lets say my vehicle is worth R100 000 and my wife car R50 000. Is my assumption correct to say that we have equal shares (50 / 50) of my and the same with her vechile.
Thefore if I want to keep my car i must pay her R50 000 for it to become my property alone.
Same in her case if she wants to keep it she must pay me R25 000.
Therefore I need to pay R25 000 to her to settle the vechles
