Good day

I have been in arrears with my rent, I was then handed over to the lawyers, I made an offer of R500 per month to pay of the arrears as I told them that I am the only one working, I also promised to start paying the rent every month. They turned down my offer of the R500 per month and they went and wrote up my furniture which is not mine, we moved to George 2 years ago and a family member borrowed us some of their furniture, we had a affadavit made out to say that the furniture is not ours and they still took the furnitur. I want to know if they can do this legally. Please help me because I have to explain to this family member why I don't have their furniture anymore.
