To whom it may concern,
I wish to find out if a written warning is valid if:
- The so called offence has no documented evedence
- Occured outside of working environment and not during working hours
- It is intended to sway bad reputation away from the workplace and onto the employee only
- Is based on stories
This involves the school i work at as a teacher.
I have been working here for around a year, with an ex-fiance who has been telling stories about my personal life to anyone that would listen. She has been spreading rumours around the school including rumours that imply my involvement with school children.
I have resorted to hardly moving from my residence and avoiding contact with anyone seeing as everyone would rather believe her.
This has lead to my name being made bad in every circle. I have been discussed to such an extent that the people at the hardware store know more stories about me than i have heard myself.
This is getting out of hand. I am stil rather new to the area seeing as i moved here for work, and as soon as i meet people i am being judged.
it is nigh impossible to prove the stories wrong, seeing as i am at home alone with no one that could vouch for me.
I have reported every new lie about me to the Principle and i have kept my side as clean as i can by being as transparent and open about everything as i possibly could.
The spreader of the stories has been reported aswel with no sign of it being acted upon.
So if you could please advise me on this matter i would appreciate it greatly.
Regards
