I was absent from work due to psychological problems from 28 May 2018 to October 2019 and was admitted to psychiatrist hospital Akeso and after that received support from both my psychiatrist and psychologist.
During that period I submitted medical reports to my employer stating the condition as well as what resulted to my problem.
In January 2020 I received a letter from the leave section of my department. Stating that the period of leave was too long for the condition prescribed and I need to submit more detailed medical reports.
I did that, but last week 28 May 2020 I received a letter stating that the Education Department will cover my absence with leave without pay.
Yesterday I received an email stating that I owe medical aid. I will then consult GEMS on Monday about this because it shocked me and it might indicate that my salary will not be paid in April.
