Question posted in the National Credit Act Law category relating to Gauteng

Good afternoon,

I would appreciate any assistance in determining what my contractual obligations are during COVID-19 lockdown period. I have signed a contract for gym membership and the gym intends reopening soon however I will only return to work at level 2 or level 1. I am concerned as the gym intends initiating debit orders before I am able to pay for my membership. Is there any way I am able to prevent them from debiting me until I begin earning an income again?

Thank you
