Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to North West

Good day

I bought a vehicle from a second-hand dealer and my car broke down recently and I took it to BMW to repair and they told me that the engine was changed and the engine number does not match with the engine number on registered paperwork for that I need to pay a fortune to get the vehicle repaired by BMW dealership.

Thank you

Hi there,

I see that you haven't made a payment for the question, but I'm going to assist you a little. If you want to ask a follow-up question, please make the required payment.

It sounds to me as if you bought an unlicensed car which has received extensive repairs. Also, your car would fail a SAPS clearance because of the engine change! You need to speak to the seller to get your money back.

Please remember this is a dialog if you have follow-up questions please make the required payment, then use the REPLY button and ask your further question. I would like to continue assisting you, but I need to concentrate on people who make payments for their questions.
