Question posted in the General Law category relating to Gauteng
Good Day
I loaned colleague money in 2018. She signed a Knowledgement of Debt letter and has only paid back R 500.00 of the R 6000.00 I loaned her. Upon phoning her many times, she SMSes me to contact her lawyers. Which in turn I have done. I sent all the documents, namely; the Absa notice of payment, Acknowledgment of debt letter, signed by herself, and all of our Whatsapp messages in PDF.
I have not received any further details from her lawyer after emailing him. I have also sent another email asking him if he has received the info as well as a telephone call this morning. This is very frustrating. What is my next step?
Do I send a letter of demand to her attorneys as I not sure of her physical address, This woman moves around a lot and has remarried in the interim?
Please advise me.
Thanking you
Audrey Hardiman
