Good day,
I was involved in a minor traffic collision in June 2020. I collided with a taxi trying to avoid another taxi. Neither of us is insured. Both the taxi driver and myself exchanged details ie: ID number, address, telephone number and place of work address and telephone number, and I requested that he send me quotations for the damage done to his vehicle. Until the present date the taxi driver has not produced a quotation (05 February 2021). He has now approached me threatening me that he is going to sue me in his personal capacity for the damages. Is there a time frame that this process is allowed as the incident happened 9 months ago? Just as an after thought, one week after the accident the taxi had already been repaired. Where do I stand with this situation?

Hi there,
I see that you haven't made a payment for the question, but I'm going to assist you a little. If you want to ask a follow-up question, please make the required payment.
Do you have insurance on your vehicle? Who was at fault for the accident? Surely if the taxi was trying to avoid another taxi, and swerved, maybe he was 100% / 50% at fault?
