Good day

My husband went to renew his drivers lisence before lock down, he did go there after 3 weeks as told to as it should be completed and card there. they told him it has not arrived and must come back in 3-4 weeks again. A few months into lockdown he received a phone call that he has a warrant of arrest and must pay R800 into some account.  (We have not had the means to do so) but Our current vehicle is in his name (My car) and we renewed the lisence disk...i have it in my hands. My Q: Was that probably a scam to get R800 out of someone because as far as i know if you have outstanding fines or warrent of arrest you cant get your lisence disk for car... He still does not have his driving card so what to do?

Thank you
