Question posted in the General Law category relating to Western Cape

I have recently applied for a position and when I accepted it it came with a move to another shift. I have been on that shift for a couple of months now. I have just been informed (not even consulted) that they are moving me to another shift.

Can they do this??? I have explained that I don't have transport to accommodate me on the new shift but was told that it is not their problem.

Can they change my condition of employement like this without even consulting me. Can I be forced onto another shift.
