Question posted in the General Law category relating to Eastern Cape
Im Oswald Strauss,im renting a house on a property with 4 houses on the property,im the only house on the property with a "private" prepaid electricity meter,my rental contract states im responsible for my municipal services however i cannot buy prepaid electricity at our local municipality,the municipality states that the homeowner installed a private company to install my houses prepaidmeter,the tariff if my electricity are 2× the rate of the other houses on the same property,apparantly the "landlord" has an municipal prepaidmeter on the property buying from the local municipality and sell it to me at twice the price,are this practice even legal?
