Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Free State

my sisters boyfriend moved in with us in when we moved into a new place in June 2014. we the men in the house and we decided to sign the lease together and split the rent monthly. this is the second time he shas skipped rent and owes us alot of money

he owes us for the previous rent that was not paid, he sold my mums laptop and never brought the money back. he has stolen money from all our rooms and took my mums ipad and sisters laptop. he brought it back and not sure what excuse he gave my sister. he blows his cash when payday comes and doesnt come home for days. this all makes us think he is on drugs.

please could you lead me in the right direction, im not sure what i should do first. get him arrested or sue him?
