Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to Gauteng
I am in need some advice on a really unpleasant, expensive and emotionally stressful experience that my family and I are going through with MSC and I am seeking legal advice on this matter. MSC denied my embarkation on a 14 day multi-country stop cruise because my passport did not meet Madagascar's requirements. Note that for the stop at Madagascar, the ship would dock in the ocean, and not at a port and only for a few hours on 30 December 2022. There was no prior notice provided by MSC to passengers on Madagascar's requirements and they are pushing back to say it was my responsibility to check each countries passport requirements. I went through the MSC Ts&Cs and the information is vague on the clause pertaining to passports. Please advise if you would be able to assist in this matter.
