Can I be forced to paint my house a colour that was approved by the body corporate only and not shared with owners prior to the approval? This is a full title property. The colours were never shared with owners and we were just informed that we must use this colour, thus being forced to paint our property a colour that we do not want to use. At the time we bought the property, there was no rules related to any paint colours. We also objected to this when we were informed of the new colour at the AGM and a resolution was taken in Jul 2022 that alternative colours would be considered. We have now resealed the walls and painted the primer. All is at a stand still, as they do not want us to paint another colour than the colour that was approved.
