Question posted in the General Law category relating to Gauteng
I have a signed contract between myself and a rental agency, where i agreed to a 12 month contract, but i have removed the penalty fee that they are charging because i believe the amount to be against the recommendation of the CPA and thus unlawfull. they have reinstated an amount after i signed, however they also signed the lease. I then queried this and said that i will be happy to continue with the amount specified if they then make the initial period 6 months. they then said they are cancelling the lease. i now have a moving truck booked and paid for with nowhere to move to. is this legal?
