Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Gauteng

In December 2023, I was looking for a place to rent and I got one when the owner was away for holidays and the owner returned when I had already occupied the place (January 2024). We did not sign the lease agreement. We never talked about lease terms only just being informed of a few rules. Now, I want to move out and he told me, I will be on credit. Please advise how possible.
