Hi

I've recently sold a business and the buyer deposited the money into a lawyer's trust account. After sale was finalized I made the request for money to be payed over to my account. I sent the account details to the firm and they informed me that money was payed into my account. After several days I informed them that it did not reflect in my account and they've sent me the deposit slip copy. I realized that they have deposited the money into wrong account and informed them of the error. Their response was that it was me who gave them the correct information and I have proof that they replied on my mails which reflects the correct details. Every time I ask them what is going to happen next they just come back with a response it is still under investigation from the bank (A). One should take into account that they payed the money from their bank (A) to another bank (B). From info I could gather bank A will not be able to do anything about the issue but rather bank B. The firm is now trying to claim from the insurance but if that is not successful and I can't get my money back that way what options do I have?
