Goog day
My daughter and I have a small business in Mogale City and we are renting a property now for 2 years plus. There is pre paid meters on the property and the landlord still charges us Service fees for the Eskom electricity and refuse. We also have to buy our electricity for the meter by giving her the cash and she buy it for us, last month we found out that if we gave her R200.00 for electricity we were only getting R100 worth. We aproached her and she has done nothing about it. She owe us about R4500.00 in overcharged amounts only.
Yesterday we received a letter of eviction. We need to be out by the end of October 2015.
We still have not recieved the over paid amount, although our rent is paid for the month in full.
When we moved in we asked for the door to be repaired and it still is not.
The new contract was dropped off and alterations were done to the contract with out our knowledge, however we signed this contract and it was never collected by the owner.
What are our rights in this situation.
This is our busiest time of the year and with having to move we will be losing business.
We are a VERY small business. please we cant afford to lose like this.
Kind regards
Ann Thomas
