Question posted in the General Law category relating to Eastern Cape
I was subletting from someone and the lease was ending on 30 November 2015. I made arrangements with a friend to fetch my items at my old place as I was out of town, I left my key at my previous place. My friend went there but did not find the key, i notified the person I was subletting from. Made arrangements to get my stuff from him until now,now I was recently served with summons for a small claims court with an amount of R8000. I do not know what the amount is for and I still do not have my items
