Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to Gauteng


I signed up to get Internet service at my home, but due to missing infrastructure the installation was not completed. I was advised to seek alternative solutions, which I did. 

The company is now trying to keep me responsible for the admin/innitiation fee. Is this possible, as I had no hand in the cancellation ?

Surely if the company cannot fullfill their part, I should not be penalised ?
