Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Gauteng

I bought a house in 2016 in Pretoria. Initially the house took a while to be built and about a year later I wanted to cancel because it was not yet built but the developer told me I cant cancel because I've already signed the plans. A week later I went to the land where the house was suppose to be built and believe it or not it was up with windows and a roof.. Everything was done and I was given a certificate of occupancy.. There were however so many wrong things with the house of which I logged with the developer; some of the things were fixed and some werent and I was taken back & forth my mother can even testify because most of the time she was fighting that battle for be because I could tell that that sales lady was taking advantage of me because I was young.. I eventually decided to go to NHBRC; they emailed an inspector to come and check what was happening. The inspector never came, I remember that lady from NHBRC told me that most developers take their time to fix things and next thing they tell you the house is no longer under their warranty I must fix the things myself..  When I confronted the sales lady she told me that she will sue whoever said that coz that's a lie, guess what today some of those issues are still not resolved, meaning the lady from NHBRC was right.. I have hated that house and never stayed in it because of all the pain and drama this Property Developer has caused me.. I recently contacted them to remind them about the issue they never came to fix because I found someone to stay at that house since I dont want to stay there.. The lady remembers me and at first was acting surprised that the issues have not yet been resolved. She keeps on telling me she will follow up with the person she logged those issues with but everyday is a new excuse. I really dont know what to do anymore.. Then I got a hold of their boss and he is saying my retention period is over; How do these things work coz it's not like I'm complaining for a new issue and an issue that was supposed to be logged and fixed 3 years ago.. It seems like this lady and her manager do not communicate because whenever I ask her for feedback she either ignores my messages or gives me excuses. It's been two weeks since I've raised the issue - first she was at Knysna and could not attend to the matter and told me she will attend to the matter when she returns, I told her to hand it over to someone else and she didnt. When she got back she was ignoring my messages and I kept on texting and asking for feedback everyday until she replied and told me she will speak to the person she logged the issues with when she's at the office. The other day she said she is talking to the responsible party but when I asked for feedback there was silence.. Now I asked her for feedback and she is telling me the people that provided the services are still on lockdown.. I mean 3 years ago she had excuses all the time until they were done with the development and moved to a new project. Now she has started again. What does one do in these kind of situations.
