Question posted in the General Law category relating to Eastern Cape
Good day ,I was contacted by maxlaw that they will be assisting me with a loan ,I ask where they got my contact ,they said credit bureau, they told me I was pre vetted that I just needed to finalize the application.
Just after giving them my banking information ,I got a debit check of R710 from my bank to approve which I rejected.
I immediately went to check what is maxlaw all about and I noticed that it is for debt relief.
I am not under judgment or review, I do not even have arreas,so I then called them back to cancel but they just kept me hanging on the phone.
Please assist I do not need their service.
Answer to the Question
Hi there,
I see that you haven't made a payment for the question, but I'm going to assist you a little. If you want to ask a follow-up question, please make the required payment, even if it is R150 or R200.
You need to ensure that NO debit orders are allowed to go off your account. You also need to ensure that you do NOT sign any documents with them. Also, you need to do a credit search on your name each month to ensure that they don't list you for something that you never intended.
