Question posted in the General Law category relating to Mpumalanga
Good day, We were a group of four in our stokvel circle, each was contributing R10 000 monthly. I was the fourth in the group and the last of which I have contributed to all. On the 1st of March 2022, I transferred the money as usual to one of us and unfortunately, he died a few days after, this month was my turn to receive the payout and everyone received his payout except me. I contacted his family, they told me to submit my claim to the High Court. My question is what steps must I take to claim my funds.

I see that you haven't made a payment for the question, but I'm going to assist you a little. If you want to ask a follow-up question, please make the required payment, even if it is R150 or R200.
You need to contact the deceased's executor and submit a claim with the executor.
Just be aware that it might take up to 12 months to get paid out!
Please remember this is a dialog if you have follow-up questions please make the required deposit, then use the REPLY button and ask your further question. I would like to continue assisting you, but I need to concentrate on people who make deposits for their questions - they get serviced first!
